Blossoming
This section pays homage to Victoria Adowa Kumih, the mother of Ashmond Oppong, and the foundation of his journey. A tender and intimate recreation of Victoria in a botanical garden, these photos are a tribute to her life, her love of nature, and her role as a nurturer—both in her work and as a mother.

Victoria once worked in a botanical garden, a space where she cared for plants and flowers, watching them grow and flourish. This mirrors her influence on Ashmond’s life, as the one who brought him into the world and nurtured him into the person he has become. It is fitting that Ashmond’s first solo exhibition begins with her, as she is the root of his story.

The theme of Blossoming reflects not only Victoria’s life but also symbolizes growth, transformation, and new beginnings. Just as flowers bloom and thrive under the right conditions, this exhibition represents a pivotal moment in Ashmond’s journey as an artist, blossoming into his own.
Echoes of Love
This section reflects the beauty and warmth of Ashmond Oppong’s childhood, a time filled with love, togetherness, and the power of community. Through intimate photographs of a family of three—mother, father, and son—sharing precious moments, as well as aunties laughing together while sewing, and uncles gathering in camaraderie, Echoes of Love paints a vivid picture of the bonds that shaped Ashmond's early years.

While Ashmond lost both of his parents at a young age, this section honors the unwavering support and love from extended family and community members who stepped in to guide, nurture, and protect him. It celebrates the idea that family extends beyond parents—it is found in the laughter of aunties, the wisdom of uncles, and the embrace of a collective that rallies around you when life feels uncertain.

Echoes of Love is a tribute to the resilience and beauty of community. It reminds us that even in loss, love echoes through those who surround us, creating a foundation of strength and belonging.
Legacy of Love
This section showcases the heart of Ashmond Oppong’s creative vision, intertwining the rich traditions of Ghanaian culture with elements of Western influence. Growing up in Brong Ahafo, Ashmond was captivated by the aesthetics and allure of Western culture, yet deeply rooted in the vibrancy of his Ghanaian heritage. Through these photographs, he brings the two worlds together, creating a visual narrative that is both innovative and deeply personal.

Legacy of Love speaks to the transformative power of creativity born from love and loss. The blending of cultures in this work reflects not only Ashmond’s identity but also his journey—using his art to bridge two seemingly different worlds in harmony.
